Tobrex Eye Drops are used to treat eye infections caused by bacterial infections. 

Use Tobradex eye drops as directed by your doctor. To apply the Tobradex eye drops:

• Wash your hands before and after using the eye drops or ointment.
• Shake the drops gently to be sure the medicine is well-mixed.
• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down on your lower eyelid.
• Squeeze out a drop and close your eye. 
• Apply gentle pressure to the inside corner of your eye.
• If you are using drops in both eyes, repeat the process in the other eye.

Before using Tobradex eye drops, tell your doctor and pharmacist:

• If you are allergic to it, other antibiotics or other drugs.
• Prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking, especially other eye medications 
• and vitamins,
• Pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
• If you wear soft contact lenses. You should not wear contact lenses if you have any eye infections.

Tobradex eye drops may cause serious side effects such as the following:

• severe eye redness, itching or swelling,
• blurred vision,
• tunnel vision,
• seeing halos around lights,
• pain behind your eyes,
• sudden vision changes,
• slow healing after eye surgery, and
• redness, severe discomfort, crusting, or drainage of the eye

The most common side effects of Tobradex eye drops include:

• Minor burning or stinging

Tell the doctor if you have any side effect that bothers you. These are not all the possible side effects of Tobradex eye drops.

How long should your Tobradex eye drops be used?

If you feel that you need more Tobradex eye drops after finishing your first prescription, you will need to follow up with your provider to monitor for long-term side effects.

Can you use Tobradex eye drops for pink eye?

Tobradex eye drops are a good treatment for pink eye (also known as conjunctivitis) if it is due to a bacterial infection.

What side effects can Tobradex eye drops cause?

Tears, eye redness, eye discomfort, or eyelid itching/swelling may occur.
