Vesicare (Solifenacin) belongs to a class of medications called antimuscarinics. Vesicare (Solifenacin) helps treating symptoms of overactive bladder such as frequent urination and inability to control urination. This medication works by relaxing the bladder muscles that helps preventing overactive bladder symptoms.
Doctor's prescription is required to use this medicine.
Always take Vesicare (Solifenacin) as directed by your physician.
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand.
Vesicare (Solifenacin) comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day with or without food. Swallow the tablets whole; do not split, chew, or crush them. Take this medicine with water. Take Vesicare at around the same time every day. Do not stop taking vesicare without talking to your doctor.
Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
Always use Vesicare (Solifenacin) exactly as directed by your doctor.
Before taking Vesicare, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it or any other medications. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about your medical history. Tell your doctor about all the other prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking.
You should not use Solifenacin if you are allergic to it, or if you have/had:
• glaucoma;
• liver disease;
• kidney disease;
• trouble emptying your bladder (or you have a weak stream of urine);
• slow digestion;
• a blockage in your stomach or intestines; or
• long QT syndrome.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. If you become pregnant while taking solifenacin, call your doctor. Do not take solifenacin while you are breastfeeding.
Solifenacin is not approved for use by anyone younger than 18 years old.

What happens if I miss a dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
Do not take 2 doses on the same day.

In case of overdose, seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line.
Where should I keep my medicine?
Keep out of reach of children.
Store at room temperature in a closed container, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.
Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
What should I avoid while taking this medication?
Avoid driving or hazardous activity until you know how this medicine will affect you. Your reactions could be impaired.
Avoid becoming overheated or dehydrated during exercise and in hot weather. Solifenacin can decrease perspiration and you may be more prone to heat stroke.
